Tibetan centerpiece, turquoise, sterling silver necklace This is an antique Tibetan centerpiece featuring worked silver on the front, copper on the reverse, and a piece of turquoise in the center. I have a lot of reverence and awe for Tibetan work. My husband and I visited Tibet in 1993, but this is not a piece I bought there; rather it is from a Tibetan trader in California. By itself, it is 2 ¼” long by 1 ¼” wide and ¾” deep; with the turquoise and sterling wire I added, it totals 3” long. The necklace has graduated ovals of Himalayan turquoise going from very large to medium! The largest piece is 1 ¾”long by 1 ¼” wide and the smallest is 7/8” long by ¾” wide. The sterling silver discs are 1” in diameter. All other beads and the clasp are sterling silver. The necklace is 20” long. $175 |
